Are we allowed to play sports?

Easily the biggest bummer for me in quarantine has been not being allowed to go to the gym and play sports.

My physical health and my mood are intimately related to each other. You can tell exactly how I’m feeling based on how often I’m exercising.

Before quarantine, I was going to the gym most days and I was playing pickup basketball with friends. Now, my physical activity is limited to a daily run and that’s about it.

A few days ago I went to a driving range with a friend and it was a THRILL. This weekend I’m going to get together with a few more friends to play some pickup basketball.

I don’t know if this activity is even allowed? But I need to socialize and I need to play some sports before I go crazy. I’m pretty isolated day-to-day so I’m not too worried about getting sick.

So, either this will go well or I will end up being on the news like I was hanging out in Trinity Bellwoods on a Saturday night. Either way, I’m excited.
