Around 2013, I came across Simon Sinek and his talk around “Starting With Why”, and honestly, it has changed the way I thought about everything, how I communicated, how I lead. It personally challenged me in getting down to the core of why I do what I do. (David)

As we are all experts in our respected areas, we definitely tend to go into the “how” and communicating the “how” and “what”, and we don’t always do a good job articulating the “why”. That essentially what that talk is about, and for me, it really really helped in, what I think about one of the most important skills to gather is the ability to help people who are not close to the work understand why we are doing it; understand the approach we are taking; getting into why. We all know what we are doing, building a thing, designing a thing, whatever but getting back to why we are doing it.
