Reflecting on Tiny Good Things

Micro-meanderings Day #14: Half-formed thoughts inspired by everyday life

I love this idea, because everyday, at each moment and each time, there are millions of acts of kindness, laughs, and smiles that are in the world. The problem is, unless we are in a movie, we can only be in one place and one time at any given moment.

Nonetheless, when we do happen across “Tiny Perfect Things,” in real life, I think it is worth it to savor them as much as possible. Scientists who study happiness have demonstrated that reflecting on three good things that happen to we each day can make us happier.

Because I am currently traveling, I have seen a lot of “Tiny Perfect Things,” and just wanted to write them down so I could re-live and savor them a little more:

I have been engaging in this reflecting-on-little-good-deeds-of-human-kind exercise for a little over a week now, and it has started to wire my brain to see the good in others and in life. I’ll report back as I continue on this gratitude practice journey!
